Field to Feature Some of the Nation’s
Top Steeplechase Horses and Jockeys

The Carolina Cup is pleased to announce one of the strongest horse racing lineups in history for this Saturday’s Carolina Cup. The 2016 race will feature Special Skills, winner of two straight starts at the beginning of his steeplechase career, as well as 11 challengers poised to win, including Dye Fore, Cash Crop, Harrods Creek, Hardrock Eleven, Kwacha, Tubal, Bau Bai Gold, Albany Road, Balance the Budget, Bonded (Ire) and Canaveral.

“We’re excited to see such an outstanding field of runners vying for the $75,000 Carolina Cup,” said Carolina Cup Chief Executive Officer Nick Ellis. “Because of Springdale Race Course’s fine reputation and the outstanding support we receive from the community, we’re able to attract some of the premier horses from across the country.”

Don’t miss this great day of jump racing. Tickets may be purchased online at General admission tickets are $45, with children under 11 free of charge if accompanied by an adult ticket holder. General admission parking is $10, and parking passes may be purchased online or on race day at the gate.

Admission to the Post and Paddock tent is $50 per person, and includes a full luncheon with choice of salads, pasta, roast beef, rolls, fruit, cheese and desserts. There will also be a cash bar and light snacks inside the Post and Paddock tent. A limited number of grandstand box tickets are still available. The cost is $100 for an individual seat or $500 for an entire box, which includes six seats, premier seating at the finish line, and one box holder parking credential. Individual box seats include one box holder parking credential, which allows patrons to view the races from the best seats at the race course. Additional parking tags are available for $25 each. All race fans 12 years of age and older will require credentials to enter the grandstand.
