Equus Film Festival
Illinois horse breeder Lisa Diersen created the Equus Film Festival in 2013 to highlight and award the diverse and creative efforts of those who artistically pay homage to the horse. The Festival is the premier showcase for films, shorts, documentaries, literary, and equine fine art.
Camden is honored to be a host location for the EQUUS Film Festival® WINNIE Winners Tour (EFF). In 2017, the City of Camden, The Marley Project, (a 501-c-3 headed by Bruce Anderson) and Julianne Neal of Nature’s View, Inc., a local company that provides equine training and equine aasisted learning and management leadership, will bring the Festival to Camden. Along with the film screenings at historic Little Theater, events include book signings, children's activities, and meeting the artists at the Pop-up Artist Gallery. Li'l Herc's Family Fest will take place on Saturday morning. The Family Fest is a free family-friendly event that includes films, games, and lots of fun!
