Camden's Historic District
Featuring more than 60 historic sites pre-dating 1865, this National Historic Register district is the essence of Camden.
From cottages to spacious mansions, the district is the reflection of Camden's rich history. Architectural styles range from 19th century South Carolina vernacular and Antebellum, to winter residences established in the early 1900s.
Carriage tours are available to transport visitors through the district (by appointment). A self-guided driving tour booklet and map of the district are available for purchase at the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce, Camden Archives & Museum, and Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site. A free phone app of all of Camden's historic districts is also available.
