With 14 square miles of water, Kershaw County offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports.  Lake Wateree is one of the most beautiful lakes in the southeast with 242 miles of shoreline.  The scenic Wateree River boasts the 80 mile long Wateree River Blue Trail that flows from Lake Wateree to the Congaree River.  Goodale State Park offers 140-acre lake that was formerly a mill pond dating back to the Civil War.  In the heart of Camden is Kendall Lake Park, another old mill pond that offers a boat ramp and fishing.  Fishing...swimming...boating...water skiing...undisturbed natural habitats...we have it all!
